Q:  How do I keep my scale in good working order?
A:   Always keep your scale clean and dust free. Electronic scales have delicate sensors and are subject to error if misused or treated improperly. Keep your scale in a dry, moderate temperature and always operate on a level surface. Avoid getting your scale wet at any time unless otherwise specified by manufacturer. Use fresh new batteries and maintain accordingly. Do not mix batteries, discard old ones when changing, unless you are using rechargeable ones. Remove batteries when storing your scale for any length of time to prevent corrosion. See Our Blog for more hints.

A: The Home Scales.comhas listed under every product, the number of years warranty. Simply go to the appropriate page, find your particular scale, click on "more info" tab and under special features & specifications you will find warranty.  Also see warranty on the About us page.
Q:  My scale is showing an error on the readout what should I do?
A: Although rare, scales are subject to error using it improperly, like over-capacity. Remove item right away and allow to clear. If scale is showing a different type of error, consult your owners manual and try troubleshooting. Make sure your batteries or power source is good. If the scale is dropped or misused, the sensors could be damaged and you would have to get a new one. If the scale is showing an error right after you get it, it is possible there could be a defect in manufacturing which is covered by warranty. See Warranty.
Q:  I exceded my scale's capacity what should I do?
A:  Remove item immediately, an over-weight item will cause an error signal in most electronic scales. Turn off scale, and allow time to rest and reset itself. In most cases, if caught right away, your scale should not be damaged, and will work properly for weighing correct items. Know your scales Capacity! is a good rule for proper care.
